We made two attempts to see the Honor Summit lights being beamed from the top of Mount Washington from the scenic overlook in the Buck’s Ledge Community Forest last week, but didn’t have any luck. Will and Rosemary picked us up on their way by on both Thursday and Friday nights, and we gathered with quite a few other folks at the overlook. On Thursday there was a cloud sitting right on top of Mount Washington, so we didn’t see anything. On Friday it was clear, and we could see the lights of the observatory, and maybe an occasional flicker of the beams if we concentrated hard. But it was a beautiful evening, and fun to gather with others, some of whom turned out to be our friends and family members, once we identified them in the dark.
