An Update on E-mail Notification Preferences

We want to express our gratitude to you once again for subscribing to Western Maine Neighborhood News. We are adding new subscribers every hour—more than 250 of you as of this writing! We hope you enjoyed receiving the first e-mails this week. We received kind remarks from many of you.

We did hear from a couple of folks that their inbox was a bit overwhelmed by receiving all of the columns at once as separate e-mails, so we’re making one small change. Starting next week the default setting is that you will receive one email containing all of the current week’s available columns. Paid subscribers will be able to read them all, while free subscribers will see a paywall break after the columns which are free that week. Three or four columns will be free each week on a rotating basis.

If you would still like to receive one or more of the columns as a separate e-mail, you can go to www.wmnn.org/account and opt in to individual e-mails. You can also read and browse them separately at any time by visiting the homepage at www.wmnn.org.

We hope this will make your reading experience a little smoother and appreciate your patience as we continue to work out the details of this new venture. Thanks!
